IPF Inc. Introduces 100% Post Consumer Recycled PET Roll Stock

IPF Incorporated announces they are now manufacturing PET roll stock produced 100% from recycled water, juice, soda and sports drink bottles. Thermoformed packaging produced with ECO-THERM™ is high clarity and meets FDA requirements for food contact. This proprietary material is an attractive alternative to APET, post-industrial RPET, PVC and OPS for a wide range of food and non food packaging applications.
ECO-THERM™ 100% Post Consumer Recycled content PET is the newest addition to IPF's family of environmentally responsible material alternatives. Available in high clarity clear, opaque, tinted or matte colors this high strength, crack resistant material is excellent for freezer and refrigerated applications.
IPF Incorporated, a long time extruder of specialty thermoform films, now is manufacturing this new proprietary material. which offers environmental, performance and cost benefits for those looking to produce or use more eco friendly packaging. Non bio-based, ECO-THERM™ is easily recyclable and does not contaminate existing recycling streams. Because the material is not heat sensitive, there are no storage, handling, or shelf life concerns.
Meeting FDA requirements for food packaging, high clarity, range of colors and good strength make it an attractive and practical alternative for a wide range of packaging including trays, clamshells, blisters and containers. Also available is a matte finished grade in a variety of colors. This material is an attractive option for trays, inserts and many other non- food applications. Performance and physical characteristics are the same as or close to the traditional materials (APET, OPS, OPS, PVC, HIPS) it can replace.
Cost of ECO-THERM™ is competitive with traditional materials and in many cases offers savings.
